About the Artist

The oldest of three siblings, I was born and grew up in St. John's, Newfoundland, where I went to school and university. Although I'm currently not living in Newfoundland, it will always be home. As such, growing up on such a picturesque island in the north Atlantic, I have a particular affinity for anything related to water (in particular, the sea), lighthouses, ships (tall ships), and coastlines.

Other things that interest me, in terms of photograhpy, are paths and trails, because like in the journey of life, we never know where we will go. Life is a path of endless possibilities, divergences. Some paths bring us joy, some sorrow, but we never know until we try.

I love to travel; going new places (or old) and visiting people or just exploring and seeing things. Majority of the photographs in my portfolio are from my travels.

I've always loved photography. Pictures have always captivated me because they tell a story, create questions, a search for answers, or they simply are there, waiting for the viewer to feel why they identify with the image created.

By profession, I'm a Licensed Practical Nurse working in long term care. I'm a night owl and I have been working the night shift for a few years. It seems to suit my nature.

A big thanks goes to Jen Valente who designed the logo for me. MUCH appreciated. My artistic talents don't go in that direction, or at least they haven't in a very long time.
